Place candle on a protected, heat-resistant, dry surface, aside from anything that can catch fire, and out of range from children and pets. Please keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inches at all times or before lighting! If or when smoking occurs: 

1)Blow candle out. 

2)Trim wicks 1/4 length

3)Dispose of all trimmings

4) Relight. 

Try to maintain the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, or any combustible material. Keep the wick centered and avoid burning candles in drafts. Never leave burning candles unattended. It is. advised to burn candle for no more than 3 hours. 

Some candles may have an excess amount of wax, before lighting be sure to have something under it to prevent any wax spills on furniture.
